Gaumukh is source of the holy ganga located at 4,255metrs in regions of garhwal himalaya of uttarakhand state trek distance is 18km from gangotri pilgrimage to gaumukh glacier after that trek goes to up for tapovan from over the gaumukh glaciers which is few risky because of many clefts on glaciers this glacier extends around 25km for backside then we reach at tapovan altitude is 4,463metrs this is flat area for camping where from you can see stunning view of Shivling Peak as you see on pictures we were having russian couple on this trek with four porters and all stuff tents.sleeping bags.food etc whatever needs from tapovan trek goes to other side for Nandanvan and Visudital lake expedition we provide this trek also according to package!
